Expiration

Each name on vet.domains can be registered for at least one year.

Grace Period

After a name expires, it enters a grace period of 90 days. During this time, the original owner can still renew the name. If the name is not renewed within the grace period, it becomes available for anyone to register.

Renewal

You can renew your name at any time. The renewal period adds to the current expiration date, so you won't lose any time by renewing early.

To ensure availability of a name, everyone can pay for the renewal of a name.

Records

Even if a name expires, its records remain on the blockchain. However, if someone else registers the name after it expires, the previous records need to be deleted manually.
